The past few nights have reached freezing cold temperatures causing some sleepless nights for fruit farmers here in the Grand Valley.
Freeze warnings have filled the forecast all week long and this freezing has taken a toll on fruit farmer Robert Helmer's crops. He has lost about 50 to 75 percent of his crops.
This freeze won't put Bob out of business, instead he'll process other growers fruits into his signature jams and candies. He says there is plenty of fruit to go around still.
Farmer Bob says is crossing his fingers that he will have some of his own fruit for sale later this summer.
