Health Department offering seasonal flu shots

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - It’s not too late to protect yourself against the seasonal flu.
The Mesa County Health Department is offering seasonal flu vaccine appointments to high-risk groups for just $20.
Pregnant women, caregivers and people who have kids under 6-months old, adults 19 – 49 with chronic health conditions and all adults over the age of 50 are eligible for the shot.
You can pay with cash or check or the Health Department can bill your insurance company, just bring your card with you.
The appointments are for Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there are just 600 shots up for grabs.
To schedule an appointment call the Health Department at 683-6636 or click the link below to get to the Health Department’s Web site. Once there, click the red button that says ‘appointment.’
The Health Department will begin accepting appointments at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
