GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Twelve years after local hotel owner Sabrina Bebb-Jones was first reported missing, an arrest has been made in connection to her murder.

According to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, her husband Marcus Bebb-Jones was arrested at his home in Kidderminster, Worcestershire Wednesday and now faces extradition to the US. The report says a warrant for Bebb-Jones was issued in the US on Oct. 30.

Marcus and Sabrina are the former owners of the Melrose Hotel in Grand Junction.

Sabrina was reported missing out of Grand Junction in September of 1997, after she and her husband allegedly got into a fight.

After her disappearance, authorities say Marcus, a professional poker player, and his son went to Las Vegas to "look for his wife." The Grand Junction Police Department says while there, he tried to commit suicide and left his son alone in a hotel room.

Officials say he maintained throughout the investigation that his wife took off after their argument -- and there was never enough evidence to arrest him. Marcus eventually sold the hotel and moved back to his home country of England.

In 2004, a rancher discovered Sabrina's skull near Douglas Pass in Garfield County. The case was then turned over to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Kevin Imbriaco of the Grand Junction Police Dept was a detective on the case in 1997. He tells 11 News he knew several days ago an arrest was "imminent" in the case and that he's excited that one has been made.
