A former Fruita Firefighter missing since Sunday was found in Utah Tuesday morning.
James "Richard" Garcia was found at about 10:30 a.m. inside his Ford pick–up truck near Interstate 70 Mile Post 221 in Utah.
Garcia's truck was apparently stuck in a ravine and was noticed by resident in the area.
Garcia was flown by helicopter to a nearby ambulance and taken to St. Mary's Hospital.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office had been looking for Garcia since Sunday when he called family members saying he was lost in the desert near Fruita.
Tuesday morning the Grand County Sheriff's Office was called in to aid in the search. A helicopter from the Utah Department of Public Safety also helped in the search focusing on the West Water Area.
