You can apply at the Work Force Center, 2897 North Ave. near 29 Road and North Ave. They're open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can call 211 for more information. You must bring an ID verifying the names and ages of the kids you need presents for. Birth certificates, even from foreign countries, or WIC ID cards, School ID cards, Medicaid Cards, Social Security Cards or hospital records will be accepted. Parents need to bring in proof of identification for themselves.

The Toy and Joy Store where toys will be distributed needs 55 volunteers each distribution day. Call the County at 211 to schedule. Toys for Tots distribution is scheduled for Dec. 21 through 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The Toy and Joy Store is the City Market Warehouse located at 1st and Main Streets. Toys will be distributed based on the first letter of the last name: A-G will be on Dec. 21, H-P can pick up toys on Dec. 22 and Q-Z can pick them up on Dec. 23. Toys will be available each day so the best toys will not just be available the first day, but every day.
