Opening Arguments Presented In First Degree Murder Trial

Video will be available shortly.

Three days into the first degree murder trial of Christopher Wieberg, attorneys finally got to present opening arguments and call witnesses to the stand.

During opening arguments the defense told the jury that the shooting was supposed to be a scare tactic and the defendant didn't mean to shoot the victim.

The prosecution began calling witnesses to the stand including the victims mother and Tasha Englehart.

It was Englehart's apartment where the alleged shooting occurred. A 911 tape was played for the jury where Englehart described the shooter as a Hispanic male wearing all black. She told the jury she lied about the description of the shooter during the 911 call because she was scared for her and her family.
