Grand Valley Power Student of the Week

This week's Grand Valley Power Student of the Week's future didn't look very bright, but then he made a move that changed his outlook.

Michael Hannah dropped out of traditional high school when he was sixteen and he figured school just wasn't for him, but then Michael moved up to Collbran and enrolled in Grand Mesa High School which is a job corps center. This school gives students the chance to finish high school while learning one of eight trades. Michael chose culinary arts and now he's loving school and doing great.

Hannah says, "My biggest accomplishment is this jacket that I'm wearing, it's a gold jacket and that means that you're a leader at the center."

Michael is set to graduate from high school in August and then he plans to go to college to study culinary arts.
