Every property in Mesa County has been re–appraised by the Assessor's Office, and it should come as no surprise that values are on the rise.
Real Property Valuation Notices are being mailed out to all property owners in the county.
Mesa county experienced just over 13,000 sales on all types of property during this re–appraisal time period.
The median value for single–family residential property in 2007 is $196,000 compared to $151,000 in 2005.
The assessor's office says they make every effort to ensure that each property's value is assessed in a fair and accurate manner. You're asked to review your valuation notice and contact the office if you feel your assessment isn't correct.
The month of May is the time set aside by state law for tax payers to file their appeals.
