GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) In court Tuesday jurors in the Miriam Helmick murder trial found out that six months after her husband's murder Miriam was already looking for a new husband.

Witness Chuck Kirkpatrick described how he met Helmick through the Web site seekingarrangements.com. Later Helmick would travel out of state to spend the weekend with him, this just six months after her husband's death. In court prosecutors asked Kirkpatrick about his first date with Helmick. He was asked, "Did you have intimate relations with the defendant that night?" He answered, "Yes."

The prosecution also asked,"How long did she stay at your house?"
Kirkpatrick answered, "As I recall she stayed a couple three days."

While using the dating site Helmick used the name Sharon Walker. She also told people that her husband died from brain cancer and that the death was expected.

Prosecutors also took a look at the greeting card that Miriam Helmick initially said someone left on her front porch days after her husband’s death. The card read: "Allen was first, you are next. run... run... run..."

But Sheriff's Office Investigators tracked down were the card was purchased and pulled surveillance video from the City Market in Orchard Mesa. Investigator Robin Martin described what the video showed. "$3.18 in cash transaction it had also happened at the U–Scan section, the self scan, when watching the video its an adult female that matches the description of Miss Helmick walking through the door."
