A man who lives and works in Grand Junction as a clown at children's birthday parties and local events has been arrested for four felony charges.

He calls himself Giggles the Clown, but now he sits behind bars at the Mesa County Detention Facility facing serious charges. Antonio Lazcano is charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Internet Luring of a Child, Enticement of a Child, and Obscenity after allegedly sending pornographic pictures and trying to solicit sex with a 12-year-old girl online.

This investigation started after a mother from the front range saw pornographic images that Antonio Lazcano allegedly e-mailed to her 12-year-old daughter.

11 News has seen copies of these photos, they are so pornographic that even computer editing would not make them acceptable for television.

The mother thought having chat logs of the conversations with the online predator would be enough to get the guy arrested, "I have seen Dateline and all they have is the chat logs," but soon learned it wasn't.

Lazcano lives in Grand Junction, his address is 2680 B 1/2 Road, which is just across the street from Dos Rios Elementary School.

11 News will continue to follow this story and we will have more on this in the days to come.

The Grand Junction Police Department and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office say this types of cases are always looked into, and this complaint would have received attention from authorities here in Grand Junction.
