A jury convicted Christopher Wieberg of murder Thursday morning in the October 2005 shooting of Thomas Martinez.
The jury had been deliberating the case since Tuesday afternoon. Around 10 a.m. they notified the court they had reached a decision. The jury convicted Wieberg of five felonies, one count of first degree murder, one count of second degree murder, and three counts of robbery.
Wieberg killed Martinez while trying to collect on a drug debt. He’ll be sentenced July 20th and faces life in prison.
