Saturday was a day to showcase months of hard work and discipline for the Grand Junction Girls on the Run group.
More than two hundred third through sixth grade girls came out for the second annual five–k run. Girls involved in the program have spent the last nine weeks preparing for this event and picking up valuable life lessons about health, integrity and personal responsibility. The teaching culminates with the annual run.
Girls on the Run is a program available for young girls as an after school activity. If you would like more information contact Melanie Steele at 257- 9267
