Fruita residents may soon have better access to health services if Family Health West and the Health Department receive a $200,000 grant.
The two entities want to remodel a 4300 square foot building located at 228 N. Cherry in Fruita.
The facility would house programs like WIC and family planning and be a place where residents could receive immunizations.
Project planners say it's important to reach out to growing areas.
Family Health West and the Health Department will get word on the grant in July.
The total estimated cost of the project is $450,000.
