Former Teacher Back Behind Bars

A former first grade teacher is back behind bars after allegedly failing a drug test just two days after being released from jail.

Tammie Lee Reed was booked into the Mesa County Jail Sunday night after a warrant was issued for her arrest for allegedly testing positive for amphetamines.

You may remember on April 18th Reed plead guilty to theft and possessing more than a gram of methamphetamine. Under the plea agreement Reed would be on probation and work release for up to two years and would have to comply with random drug testing.

Reed is scheduled to be sentenced June 18th, however her recent arrest could jeopardize the plea deal.

Reed will be back in court Tuesday morning. Until then she's being held at the Mesa County Jail without bond.
