Denver (AP) Divers have found the body of a toddler in the South Platte River, and authorities say they believe it's a two-year-old boy who was swept away from his mother during a flash flood.

Jose Matthew Jauregui Junior disappeared Monday when the torrent pulled the stroller that he was in away from his mother's grasp.

The mother, who relatives say is Elsha Guel, was rescued and hospitalized.

Authorities have not confirmed the boy's identity, but Denver Fire Department Lieutenant Phil Champagne says “the assumption is pretty obvious'' that it is Jose's body.

Jose's family members were on scene when the body was found, some three miles downstream from where he was swept away.
