Mayor Jim Doody sat in front of the City Council and community members for what could have been his last time as the Mayor of Grand Junction, but he was re-elected.
Doody calls this past year a success. Some of the biggest accomplishments were passing the Tabor debt reduction, construction on the downtown parking garage and the seventh street project.
The anonymous votes in favor of re-electing Jim Doody show that the City Council members agree that it was a successful year and he did a good job serving as Mayor. So what's on the agenda for the upcoming year?
Mayor Jim Doody says, "We are going into the bi annual budget so we will look at how the money can be used best to address some of the issues."
At Wednesday's meeting Bonnie Beckstein was also re–elected as Mayor Pro Tem.
