An early morning accident in Grand Junction sends one man to the hospital after he drives off a bridge.
The frightened driver called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning saying his brakes failed, and had caused him to drive off the 5th Street Bridge and roll his truck.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, the driver called after he had crashed, he said he was not hurt but he needed a knife to get out of his truck.
The man was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries and there is no word on whether the man was ticketed.
