After months of preparations, The Museum of the West displays their new exhibits. The new additions are interactive and offer a look into the early days of Grand Junction and a mini-model of the town showcases the Pastime Saloon and The Park Opera House. Children and adults climbed inside a full size stagecoach to really make the history come alive. Some of the other new exhibits feature one of a kind prehistoric pottery, rugs and rock art.
Also at the museum on Saturday was a book signing event. Laurena Mayne Davis wrote a commemorative book for Grand Junction's 125th Anniversary. The book is called "Grand Junction's Story." Dozens lined up for their chance to meet the author and get her signature in their book.
