After an investigation that lasted for nearly a year, six men are arrested in connection with a multi agency drug bust. These men are Jose Manuel Oropeza– Padilla, Juan Carlos Gil, Gerardo Gil and Jose Luis Perez–Preciado. They all face distribution charges in Mesa County.
Cristobel Topete– Amaral faces charges in Garfield County and Prudencio Martinez– Lopez is being prosecuted in Eagle.
Along with these arrests, four pounds of meth, five ounces of cocaine and a small amount of crack cocaine were also all taken off the streets. Law enforcement used a variety of techniques including undercover officers, confidential sources and surveillance.
Most of the drugs were manufactured in Glenwood Springs and Garfield County and were then transported to Mesa County to be sold.
