Trial Postponed For Teen Accused Of Killing Baby

The trial involving a Fruitvale woman who's facing first degree murder charges for allegedly killing her new born baby has been postponed.

In a pretrial conference, Cheyenne Corbett's attorney's asked Judge Richard Gurley for a 60 day continuance in order for the defendant to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Corbett's trial was set to begin in July following her not guilty plea, but with the evaluation, Corbett will now return to court in August.
