Flames scorch eight apartments in Fruita
Firefighters are continuing to keep an eye on two apartment buildings on Peter Drive in Fruita.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Firefighters are continuing to keep an eye on two apartment buildings on Peter Drive in Fruita.
Lower Valley Fire Department officials say the responded to the fire around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The blaze started in an outside storage shed at 105 Peter Drive, spread to the roof of one apartment, and then caught fire onto another neighboring apartment.
Eight apartment units were evacuated.
No one was injured in the fire, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
