Clifton Woman's Cat Shot With Arrow

A cat in Clifton is on the mend, this after being shot by an arrow.

Ebony's owner Neda Kennedy, heard an animal crying Monday and found her cat under a nearby bush.

The arrow pierced the cat's front shoulder, coming out the other side.

The cat was rushed to a veterinary hospital, but Kennedy, an avid cat lover, says the emotion was nearly unbearable.

"I was so angry. To see how someone could shoot a cat then leave it there to die," Kennedy said.

Ebony is on antibiotics and will be just fine. The case is still open, but with no leads.

If you have any information on the shooting, you're asked to contact the Mesa County Sheriff's Office at 244-3500.
