Officials have released the man's identity and say they know what caused his death while he was driving on a local go-kart track.

Police say it was 37-year old Kenneth Elliott of Grand Junction and the coroner says he died from a heart attack.

Authorities say Elliott was driving at about 15 miles per hour when he apparently ran into one side of the track's railing, he then made a sharp right turn hitting it again.

The crash had nothing to do with his death.
