Early Saturday 11 News, had a very special guest stop by the studio, Sarah Palin. or at least someone who looks like the former vice presidential candidate.

Ever since former Alaska governor Sarah Palin announced her bid for vice president Cecilia Thompson of Grand Junction began hearing it. "People would say 'you look like Sarah Palin' pretty much every day," says, Thompson. At first she says she didn't think anything of it. "I didn't do anything with it for about a year." But last August she decided to make the most of the uncanny resemblance. "Birthday parties, anniversary parties, a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party," says Thompson. And the best part is she doesn't even have to dress up.
Thompson says,"These glasses are real I do wear glasses."

This month Thompson traveled to Colorado Springs to meet the real Sarah Palin at her book signing event at borders. "She's like oh my gosh I feel like I'm looking in the mirror. I wished I wore my red, because she didn't have red that day and I had this outfit on," says, Thompson of her meeting with the former governor. Thompson even met the Palin family. "I met her husband Todd and said my husbands name is Tom and she said that's close enough."

While the real Sarah Palin signed thousands of books Thompson was also busy taking hundreds of pictures and talking to the media. She even snowmobiles just like the real rogue from Alaska. But don't ask her about her personal affiliation. "I don't even tell my husband who I vote for," says, Thompson with a laugh.
