It is breakfast from 6am to 2pm at the Two Rivers Convention Center.
It's the largest fund raiser of the year for the Grand Junction Kiwanis Club.
And members are quick to point out it wouldn't happen without the community's support. "We'd just like to thank the community for their support. We get great sponsorship support. Walmart has sponsored at $5,000.00 Level. Many many local businesses donating both as corporate sponsors and for our silent auction. This truly is a community event."
The hungry public is able to enjoy breakfast, but they also get the chance to partake in a silent auction, listen to music by a live band, and there are even activities for the kids.
But the real fun seems to be had in the kitchen. This kitchen crew calls themselves the K-G-S, which stands for "Kitchen Geek Squad." They have been here since four this morning and have prepared about 700 pounds of pancake mix, a half a ton of eggs and about that same amount of ham.
But the real pay off is if the public enjoyed it. "The pancakes were good, eggs were great, coffee was good, the entertainment was great, I loved it."
Proving again that Pancake Day is more than just a good meal, but a successful way to raise money for a good cause.
The Kiwanis Club hopes to raise about $60,000 from this year's Pancake Day.
