After twenty years of planning, one Fruita park is finally providing open space for all.
The Snooks Bottom Open Space Park officially opens today.
It took twenty years to plan and more than one million dollars to complete this park in Fruita.
All that hard work is marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.
The Snooks Bottom Park is located south of I–70 off highway 340 near the Kingsview subdivision and features a twenty acre lake. The lake will be routinely supplied with fish to ensure that it becomes a prime fishing area in Fruita.
