Colorado State Patrol Troopers are looking for a man after he crashes his car and leaves the scene on foot. A Colorado State Patrol Trooper tried to pull over a car on Highway 6 & 50 near 23 Road shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The car was speeding and had a headlight out. But instead of stopping, the driver sped up. The trooper followed the car to the intersection of 1st St. and Rood Ave. where the driver crashed into a concrete wall and two cars sitting at a dealership.
The driver then fled on foot, State Patrol is not releasing the name of the driver but believe he may have been involved in a domestic incident in Fruita just hours before, and say there is a warrant for his arrest.
Because of damage to the car, officials believe the driver may have suffered injuries during the crash.
