A 26 year old Rullison man has been arrested for allegedly starting a fire burning private land.
Garfield County Sheriff Deputies say Nicholas Hatcher flicked a lit cigarette into a barrel and then left it unattended. Hatcher was charged with 4th degree arson and was found to have four outstanding warrants.
The wildfire, which is now being called the Gray Barn fire, has consumed an estimated 150 acres. On Wednesday, one helicopter, two engines and a crew of 25 firefighters continued to battle the blaze.
