Sunday marked the one year anniversary of smoke free workplaces in Colorado.
Tobacco is the number one cause of preventable death in Colorado, and after a year in effect, the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act has created much healthier environments in a number of workplaces.
Since the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act the state legislature passes two additional bills concerning "smoke free" environments.
The first provides an exemption to assisted living facilities and allows them designated smoking areas, and the second bill repeals the casino exclusion from the original bill which will make all casinos in Colorado smoke free as of January first of next year.
