Investigators Continue to Look For Clues into Disappearance of Paige Birgfeld

Still no signs of a Paige Birgfeld, as the Colorado Bureau of Investigation collects clues from her car and the area around it. Mesa County Search and rescue teams searched the area around where her car was found, but aren't disclosing what they found.

As of 5 a.m. on Tuesday, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office says there is nothing new with the case.

34 year-old Paige Birgfeld was reported missing by family members. She has been missing since Thursday. Hours after the missing person report came in to 11 News, a passerby reported a car on fire south of I-70 on 23 Road. The Red Ford Focus was fully engulfed on the passenger's side.

Mesa County Sheriff's Deputies confirm that the car set on fire is that of 34 year old Paige Birgfeld. Authorities say that the car appeared to be empty, the investigation on scene included a bloodhound dog brought in to try and track any scents in the area.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation will be on scene Monday morning gathering more evidence.

Anyone with information on Birgfeld's possible whereabouts is asked to contact the Mesa County Sheriff's Office at 244-3500.

Paige Birgfeld was last seen wearing a blue strapless top with flowers and blue jean shorts. She is 5''4', 110 pounds, with sandy hair and hazel eyes.
