With these triple digit temperatures it seems the only place you can stay cool is inside your house. For those who have swamp coolers, it's often difficult to keep the entire house cool. One room is typically cool and the rest are hot. Experts say there are some simple things you can do to fix this problem. You should change the cooling pads once a year, check the water line and check the values.

One of the most important things to do is to open windows. Experts say, if the cooler is at one end of your house and you want to cool one room, then open that window and close everything else off.
