Grand Junction Fire officials are still trying to determine the cause of a 4th of July fire that threatened several homes.
The fire, located in the area of 1st St. and Knollwood Lane, consumed three sheds as well as some heavy brush and did briefly threaten several homes.
Some witnesses on scene say the fire was started with fireworks, however, at this time that has not been confirmed.
It took four stations, mutual aid and about 20 personnel to contain fire.
