GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Valentine’s Day can get pricey. With traditional chocolates, dinner and flowers you could end up spending a bundle.
But 11 News found a florist where the price won’t prick you.
Students at the Career Center on North Avenue are busy bees with hundreds of orders for Valentine's Day arrangements.
The flower shop is just like any other floral shop, except it's a school. They still have everything you need to put a smile on your loved ones face. "Like roses and carnations, candy baskets, candy bouquets, gift baskets, cute little stuff animals," says Dallas Tibbetts, a Career Center student.
The best part of the Career Center flower shop is its prices. 11 News called around to local florists and for a dozen roses, it will cost you at least $80. But at the Career Center you'll only pay $40. The flower shop will stay open until 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
To place an order call (970) 254-6022.
