Legacy Lemonade

By  |

Many children who sell lemonade on sidewalks, do it for some pocket change, but one little girl had a cause.

In July of 2000 a four year old girl, Alexandra, set up a lemonade stand in her front yard. What made this lemonade stand different is that Alex was raising money to find a cure for childhood cancer. In just four years Alex was able to raise more than one million dollars for cancer research.

Alex's legacy still lives on and Big-O Tires has teamed up with the Lemonade Stand Foundation to help raise money for childhood cancer research. For the entire month of July Big–O Tire locations in Grand Junction are selling lemonade and taking donations. This month Big-O hopes to raise fifty thousand dollars for cancer research.
