A Grand Valley father, son and friend mysteriously passed away last month. Now friends and family are asking for your support.

Twenty seven year old Joseph Patrick Bedell passed away on June 11th. He was driving to visit his mom in Texas, but he only made it to Las Cruses, New Mexico. That's where a State Patrol trooper found him dead, in or near is car. The cause of death is unknown.

Bedell left behind three young children that his parents will now take care of. To help with their expenses, a Texas Hold'um Tournament will be held Saturday at the Stadium Sports Bar and Grill starting at one o'clock.

Donations will be accepted at the tournament. There is also a Bedell Children's Fund set up at Sooper Credit Union in Grand Junction. If you have any questions contact Brian Mellon at 523- 5411.
