Playing it Safe on the Water

This weekend is being called the weekend of safe adventures on the Colorado River. The Mesa County Sheriff's Department is doing this because of the six waterway deaths so far this year.

Sheriff Stan Hikey even came out to speak about water safety. He and Brad Taylor, a ranger at James M. Robb Colorado River State Park, said wearing a life jacket and staying sober are a must.
