The Commemorative Air Force celebrates its 50th birthday today.

It's an international celebration for the Commemorative Air Force, and Grand Junction marks it with a free open house at the C.A.F ramp and museum today. Civilians and Veterans alike get to tour the wing's historical museum and runway, where there are planes dating as far back as the 1930's.

The Commemorative Air Force is a non profit educational organization established to preserve and maintain a complete collection of military aircraft used in World War Two.
