Beginning this morning, about 40 volunteers began combing the sides and median of Highway 50. Each group of eight volunteers was designated a one mile stretch of road, looking for anything that might be related to Paige Birgfeld.

By afternoon, and many discoveries, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office says the search efforts have been a success and they are a step closer to finding Birgfeld.

The Jennifer and Abby Recovery Foundation will continue searching after today.
