Mesa State receives more than one million dollars to help their students become better educators for your children.
The college's Center for Teacher Education receives two grants today totaling 1.6 million dollars. The first grant is more than one million to be distributed over five years. This grant provides training for teachers to be able to better instruct students who's second language is English.
The second grant is more than $500,000 to be distributed over three years. This grant comes from the Colorado Department of Education Math and Science Partnership. The intent is to provide better training for teachers to heighten student interest in Math and Science. There are still openings in these programs.
