GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Most college students take a break when they're out for Spring Break but some Mesa State Nursing students are giving up their time off to help the community.

A number of nursing students will be volunteering at the Grand Valley Health Fair to help with the blood screening booth.

The students say it’s an easy choice to give up their breaks to help out the community because to them it is a win-win situation. They get a lot of practice doing what they learn in class and they get to help people get an affordable blood screening that could save lives.
