Some community members are angry after a man accused of killing his step–son is let out on bond. Brandon Moore is facing first degree murder charges in the death of Logan Acord. Earlier this week a candlelight vigil was held in Logan's memory and now the man accused of killing him is back out in the community. Logan was two days shy of his second birthday when he died.
On Friday, Judge Thomas Diester reduced Moore's half a million dollar bond to 400–thousand dollars and ordered that Moore live in Palisade with his grandparents and wear a g–p–s device. Still, some Grand Valley residents say this isn't good enough.
Family friend, Amanda Erman says, " The system failed. It's terrible, now he's back in our community. What if he does something like this again?"
Moore' was also ordered to stay away from his three–month–old son. He's expected back in court in September.
