Officers back on the job after fatal shooting incident

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Two officers involved in a fatal shooting are back on the job.

According to Grand Junction Police Spokeswoman Kate Porras,
both are patrol officers and have resumed their normal duties. One went back to work last Friday and the other on Monday.

The officers were placed on administrative leave following the shooting death of Brent Ingram. Porras says it's standard procedure after an officer-involved shooting.

Ingram was shot and killed by police outside the Timbers Motel on North Avenue on Feb. 28. The Mesa County District Attorney’s Office is now investigating the incident to see if the officer’s actions were justified.

The report could come out in the next couple of weeks.
