Grand Junction Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident

The man involved in a fatal motorcycle accident has been identified.

Twenty year old Wesley Bretey of Grand Junction crashed his bike Tuesday night around 9:30.

Police say Bretey was speeding along South First Street and wasn't able to navigate the corner at First and Pitkin. Bretey slammed into a retaining wall, was thrown from his bike, and rushed to the hospital.

He died from multiple injuries sustained in the accident.

First Street South of Grand Avenue was shut down for several hours after the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
