A local insurance agency owner is under arrest, accused of canceling his client’s policies and pocketing their premium payments.

DELTA, Colo. (KKCO) - A local insurance agency owner is under arrest, accused of canceling his client’s policies and pocketing their premium payments.
Thirty-four-year–old Joshua Lee Amelang, the owner of Escalante Insurance Agency in Delta was arrested on a warrant obtained by Delta Police.
He’s facing multiple charges of theft after Delta Police say he was canceling insurance policies but taking money from his clients anyway.
At the time his warrant was issued, more than $25,000 worth of insurance premiums had not been paid to underwriters who carry the policies.
He is being held at the Delta County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
