Leitner–Poma is in the process of constructing a new manufacturing facility in Grand Junction.
LPOA and its sister company Prinoth Snowcat Groomers are a world leader in the manufacturing of ski lifts. The new Bookcliff Technology Park will be 85 acres with two new buildings totaling 90,000 square feet. This move means that the company can expand their Mesa County branch.
The company looks to hire 100 new employees which will in turn bring more money into Mesa County. Economic impact models show that the investment return to the community will be in excess of one million dollars. Construction costs are estimated at $15 million, and the new facility should be open for business in late 2008.
