MESA COUNTY, Colo.(KKCO) - A woman who said she was assaulted by a man and provided suspect information for investigators made the story up.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office says the man doesn’t exist and there was no assault.
The woman said on Feb. 21 near the Colorado River Wildlife area at 31½ and D Roads that she was attacked and received serious injuries from the assault.
No word on how she got those injuries and the Sheriff’s Office won’t say if she’s facing any charges.
