The closure of the Krispy Kreme store is affecting more than just donut lovers, it is leaving one fundraising event homeless.
For the past three years the Special Olympics "Cop on a Donutshop" program has used the store as its headquarters. Every year one law enforcement officer would camp out on top of Krispy Kreme for three days to raise money for the Special Olympics. Now the fundraiser needs a new home and local law enforcement is asking for your help,
if you have a space you would like to donate contact Officer Chris Wright with Colorado State Patrol.
