Conquering All Challenges

It was a day for physically and mentally challenged Grand Valley residents to leave behind their wheelchairs and prosthetics and hit the water.

The Colorado Discover Ability program took out about 15 challenged people and gave them the tools to water ski and wake-board. The event was held at Lake Mirage in Fruita and ran for two days, but the memories and accomplishments will last a lifetime.

Uschi Hall with Colorado Discover Ability says, "Its important to learn other possibilities and other experiences and what you can do beyond your injuries."

Colorado Discover Ability is holding a rafting trip next weekend for wounded warriors. For more information call 257– 1222.
