Mesa State has experienced a few set backs with the construction of its new soccer stadium, but Saturday the new sport venue officially opens.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony there was a little glitch with the scissors, but the ribbon was eventually cut. Now the field is officially open, and just in time for two soccer games.
Olympian and Mesa State Alum April Heinrich was on the field for the opening ceremony. Both players and coaches alike are excite to begin their seasons on a field they have never been defeated on.
