Two Tractor Trailers Collide After the First One Runs Off the Road

State Patrol says around 3:15 Sunday morning a tractor trailer ran into the median, tried to correct, and over-corrected. This caused the truck to run into the guardrail and flip onto its side.

The trailer was blocking the interstate and within moments another tractor trailer hit the first trailer.

The driver of the first tractor trailer was cited on careless driving and failing to comply with DPS standards.

The passenger of the second tractor trailer was taken to St. Mary's with minor injuries.

Interstate I-70 was closed for about nine hours.
